What gets checked before anything is quoted
An oven that misses the dial is measured, not guessed at. A probe goes in the cavity through a full preheat and the swing gets read against the setpoint, because a sensor forty degrees out and a weak bake element look identical from the doorway. Controls that go dark are usually power or a corroded ribbon rather than a dead board.
