Standing water at the end of a cycle is usually an obstruction rather than a dead pump — glass, grit or a check valve holding open. Film on glassware is heat and water chemistry. A leak along the front edge is the door seal or the inlet valve weeping at its fitting, and the difference is visible in ten minutes with the front panel off.
